. Aside from the technical issues, Dawn Vally gave the most energetic performance of the night.”

“We want our listeners to always remeber that you don’t need to change yourself to be cool, we are all cool! Unless your an asshole, which is why we try to write with many different styles within our songs so people will see that there is more to metal then just heavy.”

“Toronto, Ontario’s baby boys in Dawn Vally came out swinging for the fucking fences. Slugging around that ear drum shattering Death Metal, these dudes definitely came to impress all fifteen people that managed to tough out the heat. Tight, fast, brutal as fuck, and even weirder to top it.”
– Jason Greenberg, Bucketlist Music Reviews (Aug 28, 2015)
“PSAB: Where does the band name “Dawn Vally” come from? DV: Most of us do construction in the band for work an we are constantly driving along the Don Valley Parkway. We came up with the name one day on our drive home an figured we’d call ourselves Dawn Vally to rep Toronto, there is no “e” in Vally so it’s easy to find us online.”
How did you form as a band? Well my twin brother Joe and I (Jeff) started playing music in highschool, him on drums me on bass. So then when we got out, we moved out to Toronto with our younger brother Nick and said let’s start a band. We booked a rehearsal room found out Nick could scream and started looking for a guitarist.”
“My impression was that they were a comedy metal band, due to their ridiculous song titles and lyrics.”

“Dawn Vally’s low, groovy and heavy sound; not only slowed down the night but hit it hard and brought a perfect ending to a night of an amazing showcase of local talent.”
“Well we have been around for awhile, when there is a lot of bands around us breaking up or changing their names, we have managed to build up a reputation for ourselves which is cool. We’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with lots of cool bands such as Within the Ruins, The Contortionist, Ligea and In Alcatraz 1962 and also meet lots of people.”
“Imagine a jamming session with Nirvana and Napalm Death. Now, add a little flavor of Toronto’s youthful metal scene. That’s Dawn Vally – grunge attitude and metal in the harder end of the scale. This was obviously popular with the crowd at The Concert Music Hall last Friday. From the very first song, the young metal gals’n’dudes were raising devil horns and doing their thing in the moshpit.”
